I have been in the Early Childhood industry for many years, completing my Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Childcare management back home in Ireland. After completing my degree, I have been given the opportunity to experience employment as an Assistant, Room Leader, Educational Leader, Assistant Director and Director. Over this time, I became passionate about supporting the needs of those new to the industry and those of which were studying towards a qualification. This prompted me to further my study and complete my certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

It is my aim and passion to support students individually over the course of your studies. Rowe Training supports my personal pedagogical belief and ensures that students are supported theoretically through classes and practically through on the job training & mentoring. Throughout this process I am given the opportunity to develop positive relationships with my students and ensure they are given the best possible journey through adult education.

I believe as a trainer and assessor my passion, patience, flexibility, and supportive approach
provides the best combinations for my students to be successful in their educational
I have over 20 years’ experience in the Early childhood industry from Co Educator to
Director. I combine my passion for children with my professional philosophy and training
ideals which supports my students, with the most enjoyable and interactive study
environment. They become motivated and inspired to gain knowledge and skills to be
quality, early childhood educators.
I have been a trainer for 6 years and recent career progression sparked a desire to seek
more knowledge and understanding in trauma-informed care and how to support trauma-
affected children. I have been able to blend my extensive early childhood experience to
enhance educator's understanding of the effects of trauma and motivate a greater more
informed approach.
Through Rowe Training’s philosophy of student-centered approach, I ensure all are provided
with the individual support needed and through a combination of face to face class, ongoing
communication and my supportive approach I believe this will lead to success.

Deb is a keen advocate for families and children and aims to ensure a high level of quality Training and Assessment will provide them quality childcare.

I have worked in Early Childhood Education for the past 30 years with experiences in many

different areas. I started my career in Family Day care when my children were young and then moved into centres. I spent 15 years as a Director – this has been in urban, rural and remote services. For the past 6 years I have been working with remote students teaching Diploma and Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

My passion is help students to reach their full potential and see them put their skills into practice in their services.  At Rowe training the philosophy is to give each student the individual support that they need to complete the course successfully. This includes support with assignments but also mentoring in their services.  In this way what is being learnt in theory is backed up with practical advise on how to translate this to actually doing it in their workplace.
